Julie Slonecki is an independent singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist currently based in Charleston, SC. Her third self-produced album, TRUTH/IDEALS is a slight departure from her more traditional folk-rock tunes. Through working with her production company, The jnd, Slonecki began to incorporate more electronic and atmospheric sounds in her songs, creating a style that is a melting pot of acoustic guitar, synth leads, and catchy tunes. TRUTH/IDEALS showcases Slonecki's range of styles, from the hard edged synth sounds of "Begging" to the mellow, earthy feel of "Morning Light". There is something for every listener within this collection of tunes.
